Hi Gary, You didn't specify Temp I or Temp II sensor. I'm assuming it's the Temp II sensor located at thermostat that you're after. I recently had the same frustration with locating one of these. It seems most dealers don't know the Temp II sensor for syncros is threaded as opposed to non-syncro which is held by a retaining clip and have trouble locating the part even if you give them the number which is 0 280 130 026. I tried 3 dealers before one said he could order one for $40. Fortunately Bus Depot has them for $24 although they call them cylinder head temp sensor. Don't forget to order the o-ring as well. Anyway a new Temp II sensor put me happily back on the road. Of course if you were looking for a Temp I sensor then.......................
