Hi All,

British list members out there please lets us know what is different about the
CALOR (sp?) gaz tanks that you carry inside your VW conversions?  If anyones
aware of the US BBQ design please give us a quick comparison with the your
Calor Gaz ones!

Back in 1987-88 when I first saw the Propex heater at a place called *TODDS
Motorhomes* near Chorley in England all the conversions had the Calor bottles
on board (in the rear cupboard).  This was and still is common practice as far
as I know.  What the differences in tanks is, I'm not sure (if any)!

Question:  We have mobile (direct vent) propane space heaters up here in the
49th state as not many folks are hooked up to the mains.  The unit contains a
20lb propane bottle and is all UL (whatever) listed and deemed safe for
household use. Furthermore the mobile heating units the flame has got to be no
more than 18 inches from the propane tank just by the units basic design!!!
*Just maybe* this unit runs off a supposedly safer bottle/valve combination
just like those European Westies.
