I could not do this when I did it. Wonder if the brand of hose makes a difference. If you reused the rings, were they in excellent shape? When you cut the old ones off, were you very careful not to cut the barbed end? When you cut the hose, was it flush & straight? When you put the hose on, did you make sure that it was all the way pressed on? I had to remove the injector to do all this. Connection clean? As you can see you have to go through a lot of trouble to do this right. That's why it is much faster and easier to use a hose clamps.
