Hope this helps, Coyote>> The older Westy "Circus" tents had a plastic piece that snapped to the raingutter. On some of these tents the plastic has dried up and it is difficult to snap on. The newer tents use the rod in the pocket as described above. I expect that I can order the plastic trim piece from Germany, but have not yet done so. If I could see a show of hands for how many folks need this replaced, I may order a few. You would need to have this piece sewed on with a heavy duty machine. Another option if your tent is missing this part or needs to be replaced, would be to modify your tent and sew a pocket into the flap.
