I'm selling my '85 GL. I originally bought it a couple years ago to replace another '85 that was totaled. Then I bought a camper and decided to sell the GL, but I needed it for my wife to drive while I rebuilt the engine on her '87 GL. That project is almost complete, so now I'm ready to sell the '85. 117k miles on the van. Savanah Beige Metallic, I call it gold Last November, about 5k miles ago, I did the following: New head gaskets New water pump new thermostat new Clutch master and slave cylinders, new throwout and pilot bearings new front brakes, just pads, the rotors were still in spec. New tires, Costco brand reinforced 6 ply light truck tires, load range C. I've been happy with them on this van, but I wouldn't use them on a camper with the extra weight. Apparently these are made by Uniroyal for Costco, and I used the Uniroyal for several crosscountry trips, including the trip on the Dempster Highway to Inuvik 3 years ago. It has the weekender option, the backseat folds out to a bed. This is not the Westy weekender with poptop and cabinet, it's just the bed. Air Conditioning, but when I bought it the compressor was not on the engine. I have the compressor, but never installed it, as air conditioning is not much of an issue here in Northern California. The parts are all there, but I can't verify that they work. The body has some long surface scratches down the drivers side, and dent under the drivers side front parking light. Other than that it's in good shape, no rust, and a couple of small dings in it. I'm asking $3,000, which in California is a good price for a van in good condition. I am gong on vacation towards the end of the month, I'd really like to sell it before that. If I don't sell it before I go I'll get the bodywork done when I get home and I'll be asking more for it.
