I've puchased an '87 Syncro without an engine a months ago and had been agonizing over which engine to put in it. At the Litchfield, CT show I saw a Subaru conversion and really, really liked it. Since then, I've ordered a Subaru engine and all the required engine parts from an outfit in CT. I should be getting it near the end of the month. The engine is practically new at 33,000 miles. I plan on ordering the Kennedy conversion package soon, as they have approximately a 4 week turn-around. I expect the complete adaption will cost me approx 3500$US. 3000 for engine and adaption kit, 500 for surprises. I'll keep you posted on how it goes. Just wanted to let people know that I'm starting. Wish me luck! ...Markus |
