Whenever a bulb burns out the signal indicator always blinks twice as fast to alert the driver it needs replacing. As far as bulbs go, look up Vanagon - I doubt you will ever find a listing for Westfalia. Keep the other bulb (usually sold in pairs) in the glove box for future use. mike 87 westy
