The www.vanagon.vom web site has definitions for all these. Go to the dictionary link, scroll all the way to the bottom of the page and you will see definitions for all the mailing list slang.

Has anyone ever compiled a glossary of terms and conventions of VW list/ internet parlance? After two weeks I have deciphered FLAPS, but there was one starting with "P" today that went right by me. I enjoy word games, but hate the idea that I might be missing something useful!
