Didn't mean to come off as flaming you, sorry about that...I just hate KOA's. If we've been on the road a while, I usually find a state park or motel if I need a shower. Yep, beeleeb it or not, I'd rather stay at a Super8 or Motel6 than in a KOA.

You misconstrue my praise! Most KOAs seem to be operated for the benefit of the owners and here out West are often perched on some rocky crag without shade, etc. This location was a notable exception.

I am inclined to go "self contained" a major portion of the time, but like (at least some) others, I find it necessary to take a shower from time to time. Hence my praise of this location.

At any rate, an honest, heartfelt recommendation should not be an excuse for a flame war.
