Subject: KOA's

Hate to jump in at the end of a dying thread, but just had to throw my $.02 worth in on this particular campground. My family frequently visited the Nephi KOA in the '70's and attended the Ute Stampede in Nephi. The family who owned the campground were, without question, some of the finest folks I've ever met. Became fast family friends and corresponded with my parents for years. Their campground was always the high point of the long vacations that originated in the Southern California desert and wound us through the west and midwest. We always got a fairly private spot hidden in the trees and bordered by a small, cool stream.

One summer, my parents conned them into hiring my older brothers to help buck hay on their ranch and they put me to work in the store for a week or so. Hmmm - does that mean mom and dad didn't have the cash to pay for a site?????

No question that KOA's are no good for those who want seclusion, but if you're using campgrounds as a substitute for motels, some KOA's (especially this one) fit the bill quite nicely.
