Subject: Suscesful instalation of E-4 replacement
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Fellows and Fellaws: This is a report on E-4 lights replacements installation. As I promised in a previous posting, I got four o-rings (3.5 inches diameter and one fourth inch gauge) from a tire shop supplier (Rema, Inc; they sell patches, rubber cement, etc.). I cut and open them. Put a string of plastic glue on the rim of the E-4 and glued the pieces into them. They left a small area uncovered, about half an inch each side, I left this to the top and to the bottom, (12 and 6 o'clock). The retaining ring fit snuggly and holds the light firmly. I'm impressed with my abilities.

I have not tried out the lights since my wife didn't want to go out tonight under the rain and winds of 35 to 50 mph. I do know they are brighter since the photocell in the wall in front of were I park the Westfalia, turn off the patio lights, this had never occurred with the original lights, they just flickered.

A partial thanks to Ron for an excellent product. Complete thanks when I tried them out in a real trip to my favorite beach campsite, there's no artificial light about three miles around.
