Subject: was Eurospec post (kinda long) Air leaks
Content-Type: text/plain

Hi Blaine,

After checking the heater core (Ken Wilford) also check for air leaks under the spare tire area. I found it to leak at the auto tran. shifter. I made a cover/box for it out of aluminum gutter, that helped a lot. The gas pedal has a plastic box covering the linkage. Seal it as well. Make sure you have the two upper vent controls to the far left, the two bottom controls to the far right and the dash registers (next to the doors speakers) turned off. At this point you should not have any air leaking in. If the bottom vent (For the feet) is still bleeding in air you can easily remove it and replace the foam rubber that seals it.

Good luck Kai

Ps: I have front over head AC in my '87 Westy the middle section can be easily removed during camping it simply lies on the dashboard. Do not attempt to much work!
