Subject:      Filling propane, expiry date for tank??

My mother is about to get the tank refilled on her '88 Westy.  Anyone
know the regulations for filling these tanks?  The regular BBQ tanks,
expire after 10 years, and there is a date stamped on them.  The local
garages absolutly refuse to fill them if expired.  They have to be
re-valved and stamped with a new date.


Just wondering if this is also the case for built-in camper tanks?
Seems like I remember someone saying that they were different, and could
be refilled for a longer period.  Any info or Canadian regs would be
helpful, because I think she's about to have a difficult time with the
pump jockeys.
