Larry, I just looked up the VW part numbers for the calipers on my VW Dealer Microfiche. They are the same numbers for Syncros as non-Syncros from 86 on. There are 2 brands listed with slightly different numbers but both brands were used on both models. I have only seen the Girling brand but mine have all been 86-87 models. The Girling left side part number is 251 615 123 D, the ATE left is 251 615 123 C. The right side Girling is 251 615 124 D, ATE is 251 615 124 C. You should have no trouble finding the Girlings new, used, and rebuilt. What year is your Syncro?
