The VW factory maintenance booklet calls for 90K-mile O2 sensor replacement on Vanagon after m.y. 1988. Some '87 Vanagon's have a 30K-mile mileage counter box for OXS light which VW chose to pull it from their Golf/Jetta parts bin to save $. My OXS light will come on at 30K-mile interval even though it should not be until 60K miles.
