There is an informal camping group in MN (St. Cloud and Minneapolis based) that has had an annual campout for the last two years and has plans for #3 this September.

Also, the area LIMBO rep is putting together a campout for next Memorial Day.

And, no one should neglect Buses by the Arch, the monster (in a nice way, of course) get together over Labor Day weekend.  There are typically well over 100 buses and vans that gather in the far outskirts of St. Louis.

BTW, where are you located?  (The Midwest covers a fairly large area.)
