Just like the Syncro starter, Sach is saying one size fits all. Unfortunatly, this is not true. But, for the limited number of Syncros out there, and the likelyhood of someone spinning the clutch disc to fast, like I did, Sach is obviously not going to be bothered with an additional part number, just like Boucsh(sp). The problem lies in the hub. Centrifical force will blow the stock disc apart. This can happen only if you have your Syncro in low gear, drifting down a hill with the clutch disengauged. The wheels now are turned the disc. The engine, being the clutch is disengauged, will not limit its speed. With the very low gear ratio running backward, the RPM's can really get up there. IMHO, just don't hold your clutch in, with your Syncro in low, and drift down any big hills. On the other side of the coin, Sach could have a stronger hub for all there clutch discs that they sell for Vanagons.
