Subject: Help! 84 Stumbling
Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII

I need some ideas to check out to fix my stumbling 84 van.

Last night my van started stumbling when driving and completely died a couple of times and was difficult to restart.(The starter cranked, but it wouldn't start right away. It took several times of trying to start it.) Another thing it did was when driving down the road, it would lose all power for a second and then would immediatly start back up. (This was not so bad on a flat road, but up a hill my van bucked and stumbled).

My first thought is that I am not getting fuel to the engine. Maybe I have a fuel leak somewhere (thank god everything didn't go up in flames). So, this is what I am going to be looking for first.

But, about a year ago I redid nearly all of the fuel lines so I think that maybe it is something else. Maybe the fuel pump which I'll check next after the hoses.

What else can I check? Any ideas at all will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Blake 84 van Salt Lake City, UT
