Sorry I can't compare the EVC to the Vanagon Camper. I can however compare my '74 Campmobile to my '93 EV MV. The EV is very solid, has lots of power and is very comfortable. The EV has that bus feel that only the VW Bus has. I love driving either one.

It is too bad that the Westy is no longer available. You can purchase the Weekender EV new, which has a poptop, but no cabinets etc. The short wheelbase EV campers are much more solid than the EVC (or so I have been told) which is built on the long wheel base EV version.

If you are really considering a EVC, then I suggest you sign on to the EV mailing list http://www.maller.com/ev_update/
