Me, used both.

Canadian Tire electronic cleaner on the AFM, Debi - you're a gift from the gods. My bucking never returned! Mileage about 40% better too.

Used Permatex dielectric gel on AFM connection, and all plug - coil - distributer connections. Much easier to remove 'em now, nothing else I can determine is better.

Didn't put it on ECU connector yet, contacts too close to avoid bridging, with my trembling hands!
