I do not think this is a good idea. I'm also quite sure it's illegal. The regulator itself 1) is inferior to the two-stage regulators in performance, 2) is not approved by NFPA for use on RVs. In addition, I'll bet dollars to doughnuts that it was not installed with an "excess flow" (that is to say, a flow-limiting) POL fitting, which is required on RVs in case the regulator should be torn off or damaged.

To sum it up, it's unsafe, illegal, and will (may) give unsteady performance of the appliances. In addition I wouldn't be at all surprised if it voided your insurance. Those things are intended for BBQ burners burning big volumes in a stationary environment, quite a different situation.

I strongly recommend that you replace it with the proper device. A Marshall Brass 290 with excess-flow POL fitting will only set you back $25 or so.
