Help!

My trusty 84 westy had two trees blown on to it last Sunday during the big storm in northern Minnesota. (Quite a bad storm, lucky to be alive!!)

Anyway the pop top part is destroyed as well as the hinges, canvas, skylight and all of the top bunk. I doubt that VW carries these parts anymore so I'm gonna have to find good parts from a dead camper. My fear is that the insurance company will want to pay me $3,500 bucks and trash the van. Its a great westy in very good shape with a new engine. Its just that its crunched up a bit on top!

Anybody out there know of a goot pop top and complete upper bunk? Ideally this would be in the upper midwest as I'll probably have to go get it.

Please respond to my work e-mail address. <berkemerb@uwstout.edu>

Many thanks in advanced,

Bob

84 westy, der bus
