Subject: vanagon diesel, need some info
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"

I am looking to by a camper van and have found a good deal it seems, but it is a diesel. I had not considered a diesel before and just want to hear some pros and cons.

I have not managed to get the guy on the phone and I don't know the crucial details like year and size of the engine. What I know is: pop up roof and standerd westfalia interior. incuding heating. diesel engiene wich had a complete rebuild of engine and grear box 5000 mile ago and 1 year factory gurantee left on it. Including new started, clutch and injection mech. It is being sold for some familiy reason and is ging for $3500

I figure a diesel will use less fuel but how much slower and louder is it?

Any comments?

Please also email me directly since I only get the digest at the moment.

Thanks,

Lukas Heukamp heukamp@icrf.icnet.uk
