The one I had on my 70 and 71 Westys was basically a canvas cot strung between two U-shaped metal rods. One rod went from left to right window post and the other from left to right door frame post. There were flat spades on the ends of the rods that fit into brackets on the posts. We used to use it for extra storeage of clothes etc. when camped for a few days.

You could make one, just figure a way to attach the ends of the rods to the posts. Might have a problem with headrests, there weren't any on my 70 and 71 Westys.
