Last week I posted to the list about a problematic front right turn signal. I replaced the bulb, and all was well for a few days, but now the problem is back - and worse. The original post had to do with the fact that my right front signal, when activated, was blinking on the dashboard twice as fast as normal. This, I came to learn, is a trouble indicator to alert the driver that the light is out. Now the outside signal light doesn't turn on or blink at all, and neither does the dashboard indicator. Things I noticed that might be germane: When I replaced the exterior signal bulb, the yellow plastic housing was full of water, and the receptacle the bulb rests in was consequently rusted; also, when testing the bulb to see if the new one fixed the problem, I saw that when the signal was activated, the dashboard illuminating lights (behind the speedometer, for instance) were flashing. This was not the case when the other turn signal was activated. No other lights (headlights, brake lights, etc.) seem to be affected. Can anyone point out the gremlin?
