Hi Westies: Today I tried that "GT-88 Scratch Remover", and I am very happy with it. For once, a product advertised on TV isn't a scam! Most of the scratches are totally gone! It will not work on scratches where the scratch goes down to the metal, those will remain....however.... Many scratches only go down the metal in a tiny spot, as I found out. It really did do a great job, and was worth the money, about $14.00 CDN at Canadian Tire. Now, I know it works on abrasion, (how else?) but it was not sandpaper, much more delicate. I also completely waxed the van after, (their recommendation is just to wax the areas worked). If you have doubts, I suggest that you try it in an inconspicuous area. Note: My van does NOT have a clear-coat finish. I do not know how well, or even if, it works on those. But if it doesn't work, you can always return it, right? I have no interest in either of the companies mentioned, I'm just a satisfied customer (for a change). Cheers! Marshall Ruskin 84 Westy "Iron Igloo" Founding Member of "Vanagon's Anonymous" |
