Drove by Dick Dean VW in Ballwin (west of St. Louis) today, and when I saw they had a Westfalia in the lot - fairly unusual in this area - I couldn't help stopping to take a look. In case anyone's around here's looking for one: It's an brownish-orange '83 "Vanagon L" full camper, manual transmission, no A/C, watercooled. Interior in great shape, except for chipped paint on the table legs. Exterior in good shape except for seam rust in the usual places. Appeared to have all screens, curtains, and tables. Also had a big duffle bag with what looked to me like a tent (with a floor) inside of it. $7850. I have no connection with Dick Dean VW, yada yada yada. -Steven Sittser |
