Volks,

I saw the hot footwell modification shown in the Bentley and would like to pursue it because of my toasty toes. I've checked the archives and it seems that folks had success shortening the lower cardboard air deflector (mine was already done - air conditioning) and applying insulation to the floor under the carpet. Would that aluminum foil/plastic bubble wrap insulation that is available at home centers work for insulating the carpet? Unfortunately it seems that the lower left cardboard air deflector is no longer available through a dealer. Has some ingenious cobbler created an alternative? I seem to recall a post earlier this year about somebody who used rain gutter as a shield????? Any other suggestions for completing this modification? TIA
