I had a 30 amp. fuse in the wire i ran (#10, i
believe...thick stuff) between my main and Aux.
batteries.  Anytime i went camping and used much aux
battery power, the fuse would blow when i started the
vehicle.  I now have a 40 amp fuse, and it has never
blown.  i also installed a 40 amp relay for the aux
battery right next to the camper relay, which i still
use for the fridge.
