Hi list. I'm having some problems with my '86 syncro that I could use some advice on.

First off, my van is at a friend's house 1800 miles from here so this is related info from him. He has been van-sitting for a while and now he says he is having trouble starting it. It seems to start when it has been sitting overnight, but if he drives it around and it gets hot, it doesn't want to start. He also says the radio will only play AM and not FM. I can't believe this is related to the power situation, but he wondered if it could be.

It didn't get driven for too long to be sure, so the battery ran down, but I put a new alternator on it just last summer and he says the belts seem tight enough.

Any ideas or similar experiences? Thanks for you thoughts.

Gary
