I've got a little view about the rattling shifter. My uncle, who is a plumber, used to drive a 89 1,6TD panelvan for a work vehicle (he has a 96 EV panelvan now, he misses the 89). He told me while taking a spin in my Syncro, that he fell into a bad habit of leaning his hand on the shifter, and that the shifter started rattling shortly after. At least something to think about?
