If you're not intent on doing the job yourself try to find a body shop that does a lot of fibreglass work(such as the ones who repair snowmobiles). This doesn't sound like a very expensive job. My Thule rack(bolted thru the cap) had a nasty run-in with some low slung phone lines so I'm speaking from experience. Phil '89 Westy
