Subject: '82 AdventureWagen Possibly For Sale
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"

Dear Volks,

I wrote earlier that I had rescued an '82 AdventureWagen this weekend and wanted some advice. It is complete, straight body, essentially rust-free. The engine died a couple of years ago of unknown causes.

It now appears that I may not be able to get the used but running engine I had in mind for it. If so, this could turn into more of a project than I'm up to as a rank beginner. So I'm tentatively putting it up for sale if someone more experienced wants a project or has an engine. I've also considered parting it out, since taking it apart is easier for a rookie than completely redoing the engine. That seems like such a waste though because it's in such good condition. However, I've already starting receiving requests from the list for parts if I go that way.

So...It's available to the first person that offers $1,500 that can promise it a good home or, if you have a complete engine and are within driving distance of Dallas, call me. If not, and I decide it's the only way to go, and you want your name added to the waiting list for parts, email me. It has the complete AdventureWagen interior with stove, heater, 3 way refrigerator, beds, hightop in excellent condition, etc.

It's located in Greenville, Texas, 50 miles east of Dallas just off of I30. Telephone is 903-455-3349. Ask for David.
