Subject: Wanna know how the battery worked out? Hmmmm?

As some of you will recall, awhile back Marshall had a battery giveaway contest.

I told him that I would post what I have done with the wonderful Gel-Cell battery he sent me, so here it goes;

Jump start my (now sold) Plymouth Volare some where around 20 times! Jump start my coworkers car. Jump start my neighbors car. Fry several electrical components on some of my experiments. Kept faithfully by my side everywhere I go.

I love that battery! Right now it is calling to me...hear it!?...David, fix the tranny, clutch, shifter thingy so we can ride around together again! Yeah, that is my faithful companion (after my wife of course). I love my wife and tell her so everyday!

The final resting place for the battery will be in a motor/alternator configuration used to power an inverter for those times the we have no 120vac and want to pop some popcorn!

As soon as I get a working configuration that I am happy with I will post the how-to's on the list so anyone else can build the same and enjoy popcorn too!

Thanks for the battery Marshall!

David - broke down in Morgantown 83.5 Vanagon GL 1.9L Gas driving company car @ 20.2 cents per mile, uhg.
