I had some extenders made for a bug in my van for a while but they always came loose and fell off the door. The bug's used set screws on the side as opposed to the vanagon, Golf/Jetta, Fox... cranks that use a screw through the axis of the crank base. The bug extenders I had were made by Rocky Mountain Motorworks which I found at a swap meet.

The Zender extenders are nicer looking also, they are the full diameter of the crank base so they don't look out of place. I am currently using post-88 Golf/Jetta window cranks in my Vanagon because they are more stout and are less prone to having the handle break off. They are all black too, no chrome.
