Just got my LiMBO newsletter today.. I just want to say thanks to LiMBO Prez. Jim D. for mentioning me in there. as most of you know, Jim used to have a green '83.5 westy, but sold it awhile back, and has since been looking for another. (i guess he really likes the color green :<) Anyway, a really clean green ;<) '84 Westy popped up at a local VW shop, and i checked it out, and relayed the word to Jim. Apparently this rather rare color "Escatorial Green" was only offered in '83, and '84. i've only ever seen one other westy this color, it was an early '83 aircooled one. anyway, Jim and his dad came down to Allentown, and picked it up, and swung by my parents farm. Did you get those headlights installed yet? :<) Glad everything worked out , it sure was a nice westy, almost mint condition...i'm "green" with envy! ;<) i would have bought it myself, but i can't cram another van in the barnyard..(for those of you who have seen it, know what i mean) anyway, i turned to the newsletter classified section first (as usual) :<) and saw an ad for a '90 westy GL. anyway, i just thought i'd relay the info to the list, sounds like a good deal. '90 Westy GL white, with grey int. PW, PM, PDL, A/C, cruise, ALLOYS with Michelin MXT's!! 4spd. heads replaced 50k ago, has 154k miles on van. Factory rebuilt trans. new paint. $8700 call ron at: (401) 421-2545 (RI) thats all i know. chris |
