Hi there, My 89 Westy with 60k miles has started to leak at the right head gasket. I'm getting ready to get it replaced and I had a few questions I was hoping for some feedback on before it goes off to a non-dealer VW mechanic. 1. Is there any recommended preventive maintenance in the same general area that I should also have done while the gasket is being replaced? 2. Should I go ahead and get the left head gasket replaced also (it's not leaking yet)? 3. What should I expect to pay for this? Thanks in advance for your advice. Steve 89 Westy |
