        I am so glad you are back up.
        I am looking for a Syncro Westfalia in fairly nice condition.  I
was actually ready to purchase one until a compression test was done.  All
four cylinders were in the 95-105 range.  No known leaks (of coolant),
never rebuilt, about 75,000 miles.
        What do you think?  If you were me, would you consider buying it,
discounted to cover the cost of rebuilding the engine?
