Hey Everyone,
I don't address the entire list as often as I could so here is a post to
make up for the silence. If you can't remember how cold you were last winter
because it's 115 out this may be uninteresting , this sale on heaters I'm
talking about. If you print this and read it in the walk-in cooler at the
store it might mean more to you, if you are a Westy owner without a heater.
I just came back from the factory of The Platinum Cat catylitic heater and
the company won't have any heaters for sale for about three months. They will
have TEN available ONLY in one week from last Monday and the sale price is
378.00 for the 6,000 btu. The company is transferring it's manufacturing to
Taiwan, and they bought back these from a customer that could'nt use them.
These are new in the box. The mounting location for the 6,000 btu unit is on
the closet wall. I will be installing one soon, and as soon as I am finished
I can offer info for you if you would like to install a thermostatically
controlled vented heater to keep your Westy warm when you are are stationary.
Though you must find it hard to think about heaters when it's 115 , here in
the NW we turned our home heaters on as it was only 63 today (Wed)We are
thinking of heat.
The price is right and these normally sell for 525.00 for the 3,000 btu
unit.I have a 3,000 btu Olympian in my 82 Westy and it only works well on
cold nights with the top down. A 6,000 should keep you warm with the top up
on all but the coldest nights, unless you like to camp when it's 20 below.
The wall thermostat is one of the best features, besides venting all
commbustion by-products. You just turn the switch to desired temp, and heater
goes on automatically. No matches or piezos here. I set the 6P12 against the
closet wall and it looks nice there. It will be recessed -mounted in the
customer's Westy and will be 4 inches out from the wall. The exhaust vent
hose will be routed to the left air scoop. The exhaust is carbon dioxide and
h2o, and exhaust temperature is not high. For more info and literature
contact the company
at(360) 352-0539.

Just think-the heat you are now enjoying this summer can be yours this winter
with this very cool(warm) Platinum Cat.
