Stuart, Sorry, but some of your information about the fan is not correct. The 12 v Dometic fan comes on when the fridge is on 12 v, 120 v, or propane. It also comes on if the fridge is turned off! It is wired independently of the relay under the driver's seat which connects the fridge to the starter battery only when the engine is running. If you haven't heard your fan running it is probably burned out... a common event for Westy owners.
