Yeah, this is the vanagon list, but this applies..... I've got a similar setup in my '78 bus... absolutely in love with it. Have two 55 watt Siemens panels, connected to a "solar array regulator" which in turn charges my two deep cycle batteries. It provides enough power to keep the 'fridge about as cold as a dometic can get, with enough spare power to run the stereo all day, and the occasional 120vac appliance (through inverter). If anyone wants advice/help doing this kind of conversion, just holler. I'll be posting my bus site soon... will include wiring diagrams, trips, ect... |
