I could not locate (pinpoint) the problem, so I took it to my daler, and 30 minutes (and $75 - $80) later all was fixed. The electrical part of the ignition switch is very often the cause of un-explained gremlins in your elctrical system. I believe the DIY cost is ~ $20 - $25 depending, and if you are capable. I am but could not find the problem and it was worth the green to drive at night again. YMMV, this may not even be what is wrong with your bus.
