Subject:   Tire Pressures
Content-Type:   text/plain; charset=us-ascii

I have an 86 vanagon on which I just replaced the tires with Michelin 185 r14 Reinforced. The label in the door jam says that the front tire pressure should be 39 PSI and the rear should be 48 PSI. However, the label of the side wall of the tire says the max pressure is 40PSI. Does anyone have an idea as to what the correct tire pressure should be?

Thanks
