Subject: idle stabilizer - 83.5 westy

Noticed cut out at cruising speed today. Went by VW guru & he said probably "idle stabilizer". He disconnected leads & reconnected them together - runs fine! Question - will this cause any problems. He said to watch temp & gas mileage - if OK then not necessary. Whats ya think? 83.5 Westy (smokey)
