It may be a bit distant, and it may be only the beginning of a treasure hunt for you, but I noted just such a Vanagon at roadside in NY State about six months ago. I checked into it but the owner had already traded the camo-painted beauty in and was waiting for the dealer to pick it up. The original owner's phone number: 716/433-6743. Good Luck.
