In my experience, running 50/50 oil and ATF at idle for 20 minutes does absolutely no harm. Just DON'T DRIVE THE VAN. I have done this procedure twice on two different vans. You may check the archives to see if someone has a better mixture.

The way I look at it, piston speeds, temps, and bearing loads at idle-2,000 rpm (when not pushing the van) are so low, and the viscosity of the oil/ATF so durable, there is very little to worry about.

Is there any chance that running ATF in the motor might in itself require a compression check afterwards?? This sounds a bit like a "foxfire" type fix but I'd like to try it myself if that ATF diluted oil won't do any damage to the motor.
