These sound like the middle seats from a 7pass. van. I have 1 of these in blue velour too (out of a weekender bed GL) if anyone is interested. Seat backs tilt forward to give room for the fold out bed. Put some pillows on the tilted seat back and you've got a great place to lean back and read!!
