In Outlook '98 v5.5+ it is very easy to set up "rules" to move files to any sub-folder in your "Personal Folders" on receipt, based on "from:" or "sent to:" criteria. In my set-up, for example, I have a rule set to move messages "from:" Vanagon Mailing List to a sub folder in my Personal Folders called "Vanagon List". Easy as pie!
