a good lug wrench can be had at Sears ... get the 1/2" breaker bar (long bar with swivel socket-thingie at one end. get the one that is about two feet long) and a 19mm short socket and a short 3" extension. total price about $25, i think. but you can get most any lug nut off.

another neato gizmo is a Vortex Bolt Spanner, part number 000-093-005B. for about $15-20 at some vw dealers parts depts. comes with a reversible 19mm/17mm socket (the 17mm is for mercedes). handle is extendible to about 2.5 feet long. really easy to remove/tighten lug nuts. and stores easily under the front seat (unless you're a camper).
