Subject: fridge - no run on 12v, gas :-(
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"

Just back from an 8 day, 2500 mile trip to several ballparks. Great trip. The van ran really well, but (this is, after all a vanagon) there were a few issues (more in another post). Cleaning out the van and putting things away lead to pulling the refrigerator to try to resolve the following problems: Refrigerator runs OK on shore power, but I can't get it to run on 12V. Gas is another issue (I guess), and I'll figure that out using info from the archives (hopefully). I'm sure I've had the refrigerator working off the battery in the past, but no go this time around. I tried replacing the fuses behind the seat, fiddling with different temp settings, etc, to no avail. Any ideas? I've cleaned the burn box and everything else in and around it and the whole unit to try to get the gas to work, but no luck there either. Refrigerator is currently out, and any replies before I put it back in would be very helpful :-) TIA Doug 84 Westy, 82K 68 Beetle, 93K 98 Passat, 17K
